Reforestation project

On Saturday, 1 June, our reforestation project came to fruition. Having already identified last year the area where the reforestation project should be implemented, namely the south-west side of Plan de Corones, which was severely damaged by storm Vaia at the end of October 2018, over 600 saplings fresh from the nursery have now been planted. In cooperation with the Bruneck Forest Inspectorate and with the operational support of the C.N.S.A.S mountain rescue team from Marebbe and other volunteers, the larch, pine and fir seedlings have found a new home. Hopefully many will take root and in a few decades, the scourge left by the storm will be only a memory.

We would like to thank everyone who has participated in the project by sponsoring one of these little plants of hope. During your skiing in the Dolomiti Superski, do pass by the Pré da Peres slope at Plan de Corones, from which you can see the reforested area. In a few years' time, you will certainly be able to see the results. In the meantime, we are already planning a new sustainable project for next winter. Stay tuned!
