Discover how to enjoy the slopes of the Dolomites during the Olympic Games: access points, closures, and all the useful information you need to ski without worries.
In order to enable the hosting of the "Milan-Cortina 2026" Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, to allow relative trainings and competitions, the execution of preparatory work, including site preparation, and finally to ensure the safety of operators, athletes and spectators, the competent authorities may restrict access to certain ski lifts, to ski slopes or to larger ski areas or introduce limitations to the transport system (for example by prohibiting the use of private vehicles and allowing transport only via designated shuttles) in the municipalities affected by the events and neighbouring municipalities.
These restrictions may affect waiting at the lift facilities and travel times. When choosing your itinerary, it is therefore necessary to carefully consider the restrictions that will be in force and which may change over time, especially for those who need to return to their valley of origin.
Below you will find all the useful information, which will be updated in a timely manner.

The Lagazuoi cable car, the lifts of the Col Gallina Ski Area and the 5 Torri Ski Area, the Skyline gondola, and the Fedare chairlift will always be accessible from the Agordino area and from Val Badia without the need for a Car Pass.
For visitors coming from the east who need to cross Cortina, these lifts will remain accessible with a yellow Zone 2 Car Pass on days without races on the Tofane, while a purple Zone 1 Car Pass will be required on days with races on the Tofane.
The Olympia chairlift (Pocol) will also only be reachable with the yellow Zone 2 Car Pass on days without races on the Tofane, while on race days a purple Zone 1 Car Pass will be mandatory.
Access to the Faloria ski area will always be ensured from Auronzo di Cadore via the Regional Road 48 (SR48), with parking available at Rio Gere, and without the need for any Car Pass.
Those who are already entitled to a yellow Zone 2 Car Pass — as residents, second-home owners in Cortina, or guests of an accommodation facility — may also reach Rio Gere via Cortina.
During the Olympic and Paralympic competition weeks, holders of a valid ski pass staying in the municipalities of San Vito di Cadore, Borca di Cadore, or Vodo di Cadore may contact the Cableway Consortium directly to check the availability of Car Passes.
